Herb Pricing

At The Herb Booth, we have carefully structured our herb pricing to give you a great deal and allow you to earn an income on the herbs you prescribe that is comparable to stocking your own.

Using The Herb Booth will cost you roughly the same as stocking and dispensing your own herbs, and we do all the hard work for you.

It seems that a few new customers have found our pricing structure slightly confusing, so here’s how it works.
• The vast majority of our herbs are classed as ‘standard’ herbs. All standard herbs are charged at the same per-gram rate, and that rate decreases as the total number of grams in your order increases.
For example, in a 100g order, each standard herb is charged at 26c per gram. In a 200g order, standard herbs are charged at 24c per gram. In a 300g order, each standard herb is charged at 22c per gram. And so on ....
• Standard herb pricing is based on the total weight of the order. So if there are multiple formulas in your order (you can order up to 4 formulas per order, this is helpful in fertility treatments for example), it is the total weight that determines the per gram price. Premium herbs are also included in the total weight.
• In addition to our standard herbs, we have a number of herbs that are classed as ‘premium’ herbs. Organic herbs are also considered premium herbs. If a herb displays with a ‘(P)’ or an ‘(O)’ behind its name, it is a premium herb. If there is no ‘(P)’ or ‘(O)’, it is a standard herb.
• Each premium herb is charged at its own per-gram rate. The rate is different for each premium herb and does not vary with the number of grams ordered.
• Exact prices for each herb can be found in the Herb Reference section of the practitioner pages of the site. Just click on ‘Price’ next to the herb you are looking at. You can also view a complete pricing breakdown as you are placing an order by clicking on ‘Calculate cost’.
A few other things on pricing:
• It’s important to note that the price of most herbs decreases as the size of your order increases. This means that you won’t get a realistic estimate of the cost of a formula by entering just one gram of one herb into the system.
• When comparing our prices against the prices of other suppliers, keep in mind that our herbs come professionally dispensed, packaged and labelled.
• Our website contains a retail calculator to help you work out what to charge your patient based on your desired mark-up. Our recommended retail rate is 35c per gram, with postage passed on to the patient at cost, but this is just a suggestion.
We hope this helps paint a clear picture of our pricing structure.
