Out of stock and unavailable herbs

Posted On 28-07-2010

Within the practitioner area of the site, when building a formula, if a herb is greyed out and has "(NA)" following the herb name, it means the herb is permanently unavailable. This is most likely because the herb itself, or a component of the herb, is a scheduled substance and therefore out of bounds for us herbalists.

If a herb is greyed out, but without the "(NA)" following the herb name, it means the herb is out of stock and we are actively trying to get our hands on a supply. Re-supply of out of stock herbs can sometimes be quick. At other times it can be slow, such as when export and import permits for CITES herbs are slow to obtain (yes, two governments to work with here) or temporarily unobtainable. Either way, you can be sure that we are working to obtain a quality supply of these products as soon as possible. If you are interested in knowing how far away an out of stock herb might be, just give us a call.

We currently stock around 400 single herbs to give you as wide a choice as possible when building a formula. And, we are actively trying to supply another 20 odd. If there is a herb you'd like to use, that we don't have, please let us know. After all, one of the key benefits of using The Herb Booth is access to a much broader range than you would be able to justify stocking yourself.
